Who We Are

Human milk is the best source of nourishment for infants. Mommy’s Milk Human Milk Research Biorepository strives to understand the numerous benefits human milk offers at a molecular level, and use these findings to improve the health and development of all children. This initiative demonstrates our place at the forefront of human milk and lactation discoveries. We are making it easier for scientists to perform research with standardized, sterile and indexed human milk samples. We are the organizing entity, but we need inquisitive researchers and the open-handedness of lactating moms. With your help, we can all demonstrate our commitment to the future improvements in children’s health and development.

Mommy’s Milk Human Milk Research Biorepository initiatives include two main efforts:

  1. Establishing a clinical research database of human milk indexed samples for medical scientists to query and cull from for independent, IRB approved projects.
  2. Further the understanding of the relationship between human milk and infant and child health and development.
