The CUDDLE study aims to identify safe dosing levels of common medications for both mom and baby by tracking the transfer of the medication through human milk.
You are eligible to participate if you are currently living in San Diego County and nursing an infant 6 months old or younger and currently taking at least one of the following medications as part of your routine healthcare:
- amoxicillin
- buprenorphine
- cyclobenzaprine
- duloxetine
- hydrocodone
- levetiracetam
- paroxetine
- trazodone
Among other things, participating moms will be asked to provide a milk sample. They will also be asked if they would be willing to provide both a maternal blood sample and an infant blood sample, but the blood samples are not required for participation. Collection of the study samples will take place at our study office in the 92123 zip code. Learn more by signing up below!
